ELK GROVE, CA – On Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 10:25 p.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to the 9200 block of Starfish Way for reports of shots heard in the area. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male, lying in the roadway, suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers and fire personnel began life saving measures, however, the victim succumbed to their injures. The name of the victim will not be released, and identification will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.  Read More

Suspect Arrested in Wells Fargo Bank Robbery

ELK GROVE, CA – Officers responded to a report of a bank robbery on March 16, 2021 at about 1:16 p.m. at the Wells Fargo, 5120 Laguna Boulevard. Through video surveillance, a photo of the suspect was obtained and circulated via social media. Later that same evening, an alert community member contacted law enforcement and advised they believed the subject pictured was currently inside a business in the 6000 block of Stockton Boulevard. Video surveillance confirmed the subject seen in the business was the suspect sought in the bank robbery, however, he was no longer on scene.  Read More

ELK GROVE, CA – On March 17, 2021, at about 12:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the 8700 block of Kelsey Drive. Upon arrival, officers found an adult victim who sustained injuries during the shooting. The victim was transported to a local area hospital.
