Best Buy Robbery Suspects Sought

BEST BUY ROBBERY SUSPECTS SOUGHT

 

ELK GROVE, CA – The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating the persons responsible for an armed robbery at Best Buy (9131 W. Stockton Blvd.) last night.

 

On Tuesday, November 14th, at approximately 7:05 pm., two suspects (pictured below) entered Best Buy and proceeded to the stockroom located at the rear of the business.  While in the stockroom, the suspects were confronted by an employee. One of the suspects, wearing a light-colored sweatshirt, pointed a firearm at the employee and directed the employee to lay face down on the floor. The suspect who was armed with the handgun proceeded to tie the hands of the employee. When a second employee walked into the stockroom, he was also directed down to the ground by the armed suspect and was also tied up. While the suspects were placing merchandise into duffle bags that they brought into the store, two store managers walked into the stockroom to check on the two employees. The armed suspect brandished the firearm at the managers. Fearing for their safety, the store managers did not confront the suspects. Both suspects then left the business with the merchandise through a rear door, and fled in an unknown direction. At this time, specific details regarding the items taken is not available. The employees were not injured during the robbery.  

 

Suspect #1 was described as an African-American male, 20-30 years old, six feet to six feet inches tall (6’- 6’3”) with a large build (250-300 lbs). The suspect was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, and was possibly wearing a long black dreadlock wig.

 

Suspect #2 was described as an African-American male, 20-30 years old, six feet to six feet inches tall (6’- 6’3”) with a large build (250-300 lbs). The suspect was wearing a dark colored jacket, and a black hat with a logo.  

 

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357).  Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.  Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
