Bank of America Attempted Robbery Suspect Sought

ATTEMPTED BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT SOUGHT

 ELK GROVE, CA – The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating the person responsible for an attempted bank robbery at the Bank of America (8842 Calvine Road) this morning. 

At approximately 9:23 a.m., the suspect (pictured below) entered Bank of America and approached a teller.  The suspect handed the teller a note demanding money. When the teller did not respond, the suspect walked out of the bank without any money and fled in an unknown direction.  

The suspect was described as an African-American male, 20's, five feet five inches tall (5’5”) with a medium build (150 lbs). The suspect was wearing a black beanie, black sunglasses, a dark colored sweat jacket with a logo, an orange button up shirt and gray pants.  The suspect also had a wired earbuds in each ear.  

Anyone with information regarding this attempted robbery is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357).  Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.  Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
