The EGPD Service Center (8400 Laguna Palms Way) is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You can reach someone after hours by using the telephone that is located outside of the front of the building. Email messages are generally answered during regular business hours. If you have an emergency, please call 911.

E-mail submissions should only pertain to general inquiries. Any information about a specific emergency, crime, suspicious activity, or disturbance needing the attention of an officer should be reported via 9-1-1 (emergency), (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), or (916) 478-8000 (business office and other matters).

If your question/comment pertains to an emergency situation, then please call the Department - do not email. The emails that are sent to "contact us" are only monitored during normal business hours (8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday). Some crimes may be reported using our on line reporting system.
