Detectives are investigating a double homicide that occurred Friday afternoon in northeast Elk Grove.
On June 28, 2024, at 2:13 pm, officers responded to the 9000 block of Crosscourt Way following a report of suspicious circumstances. The reporting person had gone to their family's residence after several unsuccessful attempts to contact them. Upon entering the home, they discovered both residents, a man and woman, deceased inside.
Based on the investigation, detectives are treating both deaths as homicides.
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office will make identification of the deceased.
