HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
ELK GROVE, CA -On Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at 2:23 a.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to the 9100 block of W. Stockton Boulevard for a report of a subject down in the parking lot. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male, lying in the parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers began life-saving measures, however, the victim succumbed to their injures on scene. The Sacramento County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the victim after the next of kin have been notified.
The circumstances which led up to this shooting are still under investigation and detectives do not have a suspect description to provide at this point.
